Asian cues and domestic markets because of rupee appreciation is
beginning with a lead . Day at 9:23 AM, the Sensex rose 78 points to
22 402 and Nifty gained 26 points at 6679 levels . Midcap and
Smallcap stocks are strong at about 0.5 % .
Metal , auto , realty , power , healthcare , consumer durables , oil & gas stocks are strong from 0.5 to 0.25 % . Banks , capital goods , IT , technology , FMCG stocks have a slight edge .
Cipla 's shares rose more than 2 per cent of Nifty . Hindalco , Sesa Sterlite , HCL Tech , Tata Motors , BHEL , PNB , Bank of Baroda , Maruti Suzuki , Lupin , Tata Steel , ONGC , ACC rose from 1.5 to 0.5 % .
Veterans Wipro , IDFC , GAIL , Sun Pharma , UltraTech Cement , BPCL , Grasim , ICICI Bank , Dr Reddy's is 0.75 to 0.25 %.
